Novena of prayer for vocations

Novena Prayer

Every year during this week of May 21st to 29th, a novena of prayer for Oblate vocations is prayed in Oblate parishes and communities around the world. We hope that as many as possible of our friends, parishioners and partners in mission will join us in these nine days of prayer.
This year, a vocations prayer booklet has been prepared as a help to those of you who intend to pray the novena.
Copies of the booklet are available on request from Oblate parishes throughout the province.

May is a special month for Oblates everywhere. Since our Founder, St Eugene de Mazenod was canonised by Pope John Paul 11, in 1995, his feast day has been celebrated on May 21st.

And another great French Oblate missionary, Blessed Joseph Gerard, Apostle to the Basotho (Lesotho), is celebrated on May 29th.
