Decision time for Anglo-Irish Province

Refounding Newsletter

The first phase of a 're-founding' process in the Oblate Anglo-Irish Province, begun with consultative meetings in Britain and Ireland (January to February last), has come to an end.

Data gathered from the consultations, which have included Oblate and lay input, and the work of the Steering Group, has now been distilled into a vision statement and core values to guide our province over the next three to five years. Also working on the basis of what emerged from the consultation, the Steering Group has framed a number of strategic priority areas for the province.

The vision statement, core values and strategic priorities have been drafted, submitted to regional meeting for critical assessment, and redrafted to include as much as possible of the points raised. We are now at that difficult time when decisions will soon have to be taken and choices made.

This issue of the Refounding Newsletter, which you can read by clicking on the link below, contains all of the above and a summary of some relevant criteria for making decisions.

Please note that this issue is in fact Issue No. 5, and not No. 4 as printed on the newsletter.
