Oblate Lourdes Novena 2009
February 2nd to 11th, at 10am and 8pm each day.

The Inchicore Lourdes Novena owes its inspiration to Fr William Ring OMI (1834-1919), who, in 1883, led the first large group of pilgrims from Britain and Ireland to visit Lourdes. Due largely to his faith, imagination and organizational ability, Inchicore quickly became a centre of Marian devotion.
Today, that devotion finds its clearest expressions in the annual pilgrimage to Lourdes, constant prayerful visits to the Grotto, and the annual Lourdes Novena.

Sick people will be anointed during a special Mass of Anointing at 12 noon on Saturday, February 7th.
A prayer and reflection booklet for the sick will be available.
The Novena will conclude with a torchlight procession in the Oblate grounds at 8pm on Wednesday, February 11th.

Every year the Oblate Community at Inchicore welcomes the families and friends of our deceased brothers to join with us in praying with them and for them in this Mass of remembrance and thanksgiving.
